Pandurang R. Miskin, M.D. Sandra L. Escandon, M.D. Lane M. Sandler, D.O. Rocco J. DiPaola, M.D. Darshana P. Amin, D.O. Yih Lin Nien, M.D. Phillip Amodeo, M.D. Dr. Gerald Ferencz was awarded his B.A. in Biology/History at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He received his M.D. in 1980 at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Ferencz served his internship at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey. He also served his residency at Monmouth Medical Center, acting as Chief Resident his final year. He completed his residency in Neurology at the University of Arizona in Tucson in 1986. Dr. Ferencz is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and board certified in sleep medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine. He is a member of the following professional societies: American Medical Association, American Academy of Neurology, American College of Medicine, American Sleep Disorders Association, and Ocean County Medical Society. Dr. Ferencz has been Chairman of the Stroke, Seizure, TIA Critical Pathways Team at the Community Medical Center since 1995.
Dr. Pandurang Miskin received his pre-med degree and his M.D. from Karnatak University in India, graduating in 1975. He served his internships, in internal medicine and psychiatry, at Karnatak University and Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey. He completed his Neurology residency at the University of Minnesota through the affiliated V.A. Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He acquired clinical experience in clinical neurology, electro-diagnostics (EEG, EMG, and evoked potentials), neuropathology, and child neurology.
Dr. Sandra Escandon was awarded a B.S. in Biology by the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1986. She received her M.D. at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia in 1990. Dr. Escandon continued her medical training by serving an internship at Hahnemann University, and a residency in Adult Neurology at the University of Colorado in Denver. She was awarded a Fellowship in Neuromuscular Disease/EMG by Thomas Jefferson University 1994-1995. She is board certified in neurology and in clinical neurophysiology in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Escandon is a member of the American Academy of Neurology.
Dr. Lane Sandler was awarded a B.A. in Psychology by Temple University in 1986. He received his D.O. at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1991. He continued his medical training, serving an internship at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Abington Memorial Hospital. He served his residency in Neurology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, acting as Chief Resident his final year. He was awarded a Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology by Thomas Jefferson University Hospital 1996-1997. Dr. Sandler is interested in epilepsy, EMG and neuromuscular conditions. Dr. Sandler is board certified in neurology by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and board eligible in clinical neurophysiology. He is a member of the following professional societies: American Academy of Neurology, American Medical Association, Pennsylvania Medical Society and the Philadelphia County Medical Society.
Dr. Rocco DiPaola received his B.S. with honors in Biology at Cook College - Rutgers in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He was awarded his M.D. at UMDNJ - The New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey in May 1991. He served his internship in Internal Medicine at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey. He completed his residency at Loyola University Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident his final year, 1992-95. Dr. DiPaola completed his Fellowship at UMDNJ and has a special interest in the topic of Movement Disorders. Dr. DiPaola is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a member of the following professional societies: American Academy of Neurology, American Medical Association, Movement Disorders Society, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He has a license to practice medicine in Florida and New Jersey.
Dr. Darshana P. Amin was awarded a B.S. in Biology-Psychology by Tufts University in 2000. She received her D.O. at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004. She served her residency in Neurology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School from 2005-2008, acting as Chief Resident her final year. She was awarded membership to the National Medical Honor Society: Alpha Omega Alpha in 2008. She has completed her Fellowship in Sleep Medicine at Saint Vincent Hospital in Massachusetts in June 2009. Dr. Amin is Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is Board eligible in Clinical Sleep Medicine. She is a member of American Academy of Neurology and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). She has published several clinical articles and was a presenter a the 2009 AASM Annual Meeting. Dr. Amin has joined Shore Neurology Practice in July 2009. Yih Lin Nien, M.D. A native of Taiwan, Dr. Nien spent 21 years in Santiago, Chile where he obtained his M.D. degree at Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile in 2001. Shortly after he began a three-year research fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology at UCLA. In 2005, he completed his Internal Medicine internship at Harrisburg Hospital followed by a residency in Adult Neurology at Tufts Medical Center in Boston from 2005-2008. He was awarded a fellowship in Stroke/Vascular Neurology at Boston Medical Center in 2008-2009. Dr. Nien is Board Certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Nien has published several research articles and a book chapter. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Heart Association and American Stroke Association. Dr. Nien's areas of expertise include stroke, cerebrovasucular disorders and general neurology. Phillip Amodeo, M.D. Dr. Phillip Amodeo, graduated summa cum laude and was awarded a B.S. in Biology from Siena College in 2000. He received his M.D. from Albany Medical College in 2005. He continued his medical training serving as an intern in Internal Medicine at Albany Medical Center from 2005-2006 and completed his residency at New York University Hospitals Center from 2006-2009. In June 2010, Dr. Amodeo complete his Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at Brown University. Dr. Amodeo is Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is board eligible in Clinical Neurophysiology. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Amodeo's interests include EMG's and NCS, neuromuscular diseases and epilepsy in addition to general neurological disorders. Dr. Amodeo will be doing NCV, EMG's both in the hospital and office setting. Referring physicians will be able to schedule tests in a timely manner.
